When something’s off—whether it's feedback, unclear roles, or a tension with a peer—we address it head-on. We prefer honest conversations over silence or guessing what others want to hear. We don’t complain for the sake of complaining — we always approach it with empathy, considering others' perspectives. And when we bring something up, we work together to solve it. No passing the buck.
We’re all about continuous learning and growth. From our product to our processes, we always look for how we can make improvements (see “Be Asymmetric”). We also know that it's not about perfection—it’s about constantly getting better, faster, and smarter.
We aim for maximum impact with minimum effort. We take calculated risks, making smart bets that raise the bar on what’s possible. Sometimes the smallest moves lead to the biggest wins. We know that just grinding through work isn’t always enough. A single jam session or creating clear ways for others to understand and engage with it can often unlock more impact than days of isolated effort. Clear collaboration leads to asymmetric outcomes, where small actions drive big results.
We’re low ego here. We aim to spend time in our “zone of genius,” but no one is above rolling up their sleeves for the team. We go out of our way to support others. From big strategic moves to taking out the trash, everyone is responsible for doing what’s needed to keep the company moving forward.

Bringing the spark means adding fun and creativity to everything we do — whether that’s making a cocktail named after a DB variable, creating a #banana Slack channel, or celebrating milestones in unique ways. Putting energy in, not taking energy out. Life is short and the challenges are many. It’s about approaching challenges with positivity and having fun, while celebrating each other’s contributions. We look for people who bring their own spark to the team.
